When did your DJ career first begin? I started part time in 2003 and full time after the real estate market crashed in 2007

Why/how did you become a DJ? My love of music has been something I’ve had all my life. My family had a neighborhood restaurant and bar for 20 years and growing up there I started playing my favorite songs behind the bar (I wasn’t supposed to be back there at that age in 1988) I learned to spin vinyl records when I turned 21 in an after hours nightclub. And in 2003 (after my family sold the bar) I had my first residency.

How would you describe your personal DJ/MC style? The most important thing for me is reading the room. Every situation is different. I prefer more of a nightclub feel for my dj style, quick mixes, mashups and all school feel for music. For Emcees it’s all about talking just enough and not overdoing it.

What are some notable accomplishments, awards or recognitions you have received throughout your DJ career? I have won Wedding Wire and the Knot awards in the past along with being ranking in the regions top wedding djs multiple years by Expertise.com

What are a few interesting (non DJ related) facts about yourself? I love baseball and ice hockey (I used to play both when I was younger. I also have a love for food, growing up in the restaurant business…and travel. You can never travel enough, I hope to see everything everywhere someday.
